Protecting our environment is serious business.
For almost a decade, we have charted a course of
action to ensure up to 100% of packaging and scrap
material from our suppliers and customers is available
for reuse by our company.
Plas Tech Extrusions Ltd. will exceed all relevant legislation to
ensure our company produces initiatives that will significantly
minimize environmental impact. We want to thank our clients
and suppliers for making Plas Tech Extrusions Ltd. a leader in
the plastic extrusions industry. Through quality, service, value
and innovation, we will honour our commitment to help secure
a clean and safe environment for our children and future
generations.
We have made substantial investments in equipment, material and logistic procedures to further this effort. We continuously seek suppliers who demonstrate
their commitment to continuous reduction of environmental impact.
RoHS is often referred to as the lead-free directive, but it
restricts the use of the following seven substances:
1.Lead (Pb)
2.Mercury (Hg)
3.Cadmium (Cd)
4.Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+)
5.Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
6.Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
7.Acrylamide
A substance may be proposed as an SVHC if it meets
one or more of the following criteria:
•
it is carcinogenic;
•
it is mutagenic;
•
it is toxic for reproduction;
•
it is persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic according
to the criteria set out in Annex XIII to the REACH
Regulation (PBT substances);
•
it is very persistent and very bioaccumulative
according to the criteria set out in Annex XIII to the
REACH Regulation (vPvB substances); there is
"scientific evidence of probable serious effects to
human health or the environment which give rise to
an equivalent level of concern"; such substances
are identified on a case-by-case basis
